Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Knotpot ("we", "us") collects through this website, knotpot.com, and what we do with it. It covers the website and waitlist only. Knotpot's app is not yet available; it will have its own privacy policy before anyone can open a pot.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, the page you signed up from, and the date and time you signed up. That is all. We don't ask for your name, and you don't need an account to read this site.

Like any website, our hosting provider receives basic technical information when your browser loads a page, such as your IP address and browser type, and keeps it briefly in server logs for security and to keep the site running.

What we don't do

This site has no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it doesn't set cookies to follow you. We don't sell or rent your email address, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

How we use your email

Only to tell you about Knotpot's launch, including when Knotpot becomes available in your state. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.

Where it's stored

Waitlist sign-ups are stored with Google Cloud (Firebase), which hosts this site and acts as our service provider, in the United States. If we later use an email-sending service to write to the waitlist, we will update this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your email until you ask us to remove it, or until Knotpot launches in your state and you have had the chance to sign up or opt out, whichever comes first.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the email we hold for you, or to be removed from the waitlist, by writing tohello@knotpot.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law, and we will honor them.

Children

Knotpot is for adults. This site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell people on the waitlist by email.
